In order to facilitate the people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries, the following new adjustments to Chinese visa and entry policies have been made, as effective from 19:00 p.m. on March 14, 2023 (EAT):

I. Foreigners with valid visas issued before March 28, 2020 will be allowed to enter China.

II. All categories of Chinese visas can be applied for. Applicants should complete and submit China Online Visa Application form through http://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn and schedule appointment online for visa application through https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn, and prepare necessary supporting documents. For the specific requirements on visa application, please refer to Requirements for Visa Application on the website of Chinese Embassy in Tanzania .

III. Port visas are no longer suspended.

IV. The following visa-free policies will be resumed: Hainan visa-free policy for the 59 eligible countries, 15-day visa-free travel for cruise groups at Shanghai ports, visa-free entry to Guangdong Province for foreigners traveling as groups from Hong Kong and Macao SARs, visa-free entry to Guilin of Guangxi Autonomous Region for tourist groups from ASEAN countries.
