The Gala Celebrating 55th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and the People's Republic of China Held Grandly

On April 24th, 2019, the Gala celebrating 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and the People's Republic of China was grandly held in tn Lecture Hall of the Library of University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), which is a China Aid project. The Gala was co-organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania and attended by H.E. Wang Ke, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China and Hon. Prof. Joyce Ndalichako, Minister for Education, Science and Technology and other nearly 600 representatives from both China and Tanzania side.

They are Hon. Dr. Augustine P. Mahiga, Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hon. Dr. Damas Daniel Ndumbaro, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation, Dr. Bashiru Ally, Secretary General of CCM, Lt Gen. Yakub Hassan Mohammed, Chief of Staff of Tanzania People's Defense Forces, Hon. Issa Haji Gavu, Minister of State President Office of Zanzibar, Hon. Sira Ubwa Maboya, Minister for Works, Communication and Transport of Zanzibar, Hon. Riziki Pembe, Minister for Education and Vocation Training of Zanzibar, Hon. Hamadi Rashid, Minister for Health of Zanzibar, Hon. Mmanga Mjengo Mjawiri, Minister for Agriculture, Natural Resources, Livestock and Fishing of Zanzibar, Hon. Mizengo Pinda, former Prime Minister, Hon. Job Malecela Lushide, former Minister of Works, Transport and Communication, Foreign Ambassadors in Tanzania and representatives from Chinese Community,Companies, Medical Team, Military Experts, and Confucius Institute.

H.E. Wang Ke, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China first read the Congratulatory Letter from H.E. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China and delivered her remarks.

 

Hon. Prof. Joyce Ndalichako, Minister for Education, Science and Technology gave remarks as the Guest of Honor.

During the cultural performance jointly presented by China Shenzhen Art Group and local artists, all the audience was amazed and cheered and gave long-lasting applause.

Every attendee was gifted with the 55th Anniversary Album of the Establishment of Tanzania-China Diplomatic Relations. The Album was composed of four chapters, Community of Common Destiny, Brotherhood through Weal and Woe, Sharing the Same Dream of Development, Close Link between Civilizations and comprehensively demonstrated the historical moments of high-level exchanges and cooperation between China and Tanzania in various fields in the past 55 years.
